Diamonds and Silver

I had been researching the romantic lives of marsupials when we began discussing this project and Oliver like the idea of portraying a possum on a quest for love.

The stylistic approach derived from looking at different forms of shadow puppetry. I used photographs of rock and concrete to add texture to the possum and his environment. I created a nocturnal, watery environment where it’s impossible for the possum to become grounded.
